Description
The D888 Imperial Package is a traditional cast aluminum mailbox, post, and number sign available in seven long lasting painted colors.  This is a direct-burial unit. Just dig a hole and plant the post in the ground.
We’ve been selling Imperial Mailboxes since the early 1990’s. In the old days, we had probably installed hundreds of Imperial Mailbox Systems here on Long Island. They originate from a small family owned factory in Alabama. They have been supplying mailboxes, posts, street lamps, and other site amenities for many years.
IMPERIAL MAILBOX FEATURES
- Very easy assembly and installation. The mailbox attaches to the post with just four screws. The D888 Imperial Mailbox, Sign, and Post is a direct-burial unit. Just dig a hole and plant the post in the ground.
- The finishes are excellent, because not many mailboxes holds paint better than Imperial Mailboxes. I recently saw about 25 Imperial Mailbox units that we installed in the same development about 10 years ago and those mailboxes have held up remarkably well.
- This is the D888 unit. The D-8-8-8 equals: The #D 3″ Round Mailbox Post with the #8 Post Base + #8 Sign Plate + #8 Mailbox.
- The #8 sign plate is included. It fits up to five 2″ numbers. You can leave the sign plate blank or purchase the factory supplied polished brass numbers with the option of having them attached at the factory or not. To attach them yourself is just “peel-n-stick”.
DIMENSIONS
Mailboxes:  Interior dimensions of the mailbox are 7″ wide x 8″ high x 19″ deep.
Post:Â The post is approximately 60″ tall to allow approx 20″ below ground and 40″ above.
