These posts are pre-assembled… then disassembled for shipping. There are three parts and you’ll need to assemble them (hardware included).

This post is made from what is called #1 treated wood… meaning it is mostly “clear” wood with very few knots.
Treated wood is a natural product that will age naturally over time which will include the possibility of the post developing splits. That is just the nature of wooden mailbox posts and a surface “split” in no way affects the solid nature of the post.
The post is also available painted either black, white, brown, or grey.
The post arm is a simple 3.5″ wide flat surface. Some mailboxes may require a mounting board (not included) in order to be attached to this mailbox post.
